The Process – Domestic & Commercial EPC

Step 1 – Fill in the free instant quotation form located at the top of this page. Please provide as much information about your property as you can and we will get back to you with a free quote. Alternatively, please feel free to give us a call.

Step 2 – Commercial EPC

At JR Energy Assessors, we realise there could be a need for a very quick turnaround on EPC’s, so when you request a quote for your property, we will endeavour to arrange an appointment within 2-4 working days. We will then arrange a set appointment time and you will receive written confirmation of this via email (same day) and post (1-2 working days) in advance of the day of inspection.

Step 3 – On Site Inspection of property

All work will be carried out in a quick, efficient and thorough manner in order to achieve the most accurate energy rating possible. We ensure our work is carried out as quickly and hassle free as possible to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum, letting you carry on with "business as usual" while we carry out the assessment of your property.

Step 4 – Energy Performance Certificate presentation and Recommendations report

To ensure we keep to our word and provide a fast turnaround, the analysis begins almost immediately after the assessment finishes. All data collected in the assessment is input into iSBEM software (for commercial) or RDSAP (for domestic) to calculate the energy efficiency of your property. This usually takes between 2 & 15 hours for commercial EPC’s and about 1 hour for domestic EPC’s, depending on the size of the property and its heating/cooling/lighting structure. Once the energy efficiency has been calculated, the certificate will be produced immediately alongside the recommendations report. Once lodged and successfully on the national register, you will be emailed and posted a copy of both the Energy Performance Certificate and the Recommendations Report.

We aim to deliver all Domestic EPC’s and Floor plans within a few hours of the assessment. However, the Commercial EPC process should take no longer than 3 working days from undertaking the assessment to receiving the final EPC and recommendations report.
